    Hi I am creating a site in the Agency theme. for the logo I have created a .png image size: 960 x 115 pixels.

    I use WordPress: 3.5

    I could ad a phonenumber in the .png-file but I would like to have it as text in the header file so that you can call the nuber directly from a phone. I have the menu as a widget. I tryed to ad the phonenumber as a text widget next to it, but it does not fit. Is it possible to ad a phonenumber as text in the upper-right-corner?

    Thanks,

    Johanna

    Hi Johanna,

    Anything’s possible :) All of the elements you are mentioning can be re-sized in your CSS file. What can fit is only limited by the width of the page (and that can be re-sized too!)

    If you would like to post a link to your site, perhaps I can help you with some specific CSS code to achieve the final look you are after.

    Take care,

    Hi Johanna,

    Go ahead and add the phone number to a text widget in the header area below the WordPress menu widget. I’ll then help you with the CSS to fit them beside each other.

    Hi Johanna,

    You can style that widget directly by adding:

    #text-4 {
    float: right;
    }

    to your style sheet.

    Also, in the header widget area, put that widget with the phone number before/above the menu widget. It should look the way you want now. Let me know if it doesn’t.

    Hi,

    I’m not sure what you mean by “framed one” but just post the code above in your theme’s stylesheet without the
    css and /css
    (the square bracket stuff).

    And don’t paste it into your header/footer script area.

    I tryed to ad the phonenumber as a text widget next to it, but it does not fit.

    I’m sorry, I thought that mean you wanted them side by side.

    Remove the CSS code pasted earlier and give your phone number a class.  Then you can style the text to align right in your stylesheet.

    Hey Greg, I managed it thru the functions file:

    ** Add support for custom header */
    add_theme_support( ‘genesis-custom-header’, array( ‘width’ => 960, ‘height’ => 115 ) );

    add_action( ‘genesis_header’, ‘custom_header’ );
    function custom_header() {
    ?>

    <table border=”0″ width=”600″>
    <tr>
    <td width=”500″>&nbsp;</td><td width=”150″ align=”right” valign=”top”><font color=”#999999″>PHONE: 08 – 123 456</font></td></tr></table>
    <?php
    }
