I am trying to add a widget in order to add some copy to the home page of the Landscape Theme that is not in the footer.

    Site: http://www.southlandconstructioncompanyinc.com/

I tried following the instructions here: http://www.briangardner.com/home-widget-area-eleven40/

but must have done something wrong because it’s not showing up.

Can anyone take a look to see what might be the issue? Do I need to include any additional info?

Or – if there’s a better way to add copy to the home page I am open to any suggestions! I was looking at plugins that allow different footers on different pages – maybe that would be a better solution?

Thanks for any help you can offer!

Never mind – was able to solve the problem using the Widget Context plugin. I kept the widgets in the footers and just have them not displaying on any pages other than the home page.

Widget Logic is another plugin that does this also.
