    Hi Everyone,

I’d like to add comments from me to my future self or to another programmer.  For instance, when I change the coding it would be nice to know “””This is a change from the original and this is why I did it this way””””.

How do I put comments into the code so it doesn’t affect the code but is there for future reference?

Specifically, I’m making a change to my site to hopefully eliminate comments sitewide. ( (  as per this earlier posting:  http://www.studiopress.com/forums/topic/preventing-spam-comments/    ))

I will want to turn that back on next year as we get close to the event for which the site is built   http://www.comfishalaska.com

I think adding a note there that says. “Just delete all this code to reinstate comments”  would be very helpful.

    Thanks,

    Maggie
