I’m trying to attain equal column heights in a child theme that has the header along the side like a sidebar. The areas that I’m hoping to get the same height are the header-widget-area and the content-sidebar-wrap. Not sure why genesis has these as classes and not id’s as they seem like identifiers to me.

Anyway, the easiest way, I think, is just to use javascript to set the heights on those elements. I could search the some by class name, but I think it’s more efficient to grab elements out of the dom using an id.

What is the genesis way of assigning an id to those elements? I didn’t see any proper filters for that.

    thanks!
