    I want to add my own secondary menu to the primary menu div, the same div that has the date in it.

    I’m using the News theme.

    So I’m not looking at modifying the top top menu, but the one below the header area.

    I have some dynamic elements I need to add to the menu.

    any thoughts on how I can build my own secondary dynamic menu that isn’t driven by Appearances > Menus ?

    Nevermind, I figured out a solution that will work temporarily.

    I just did this, and built my own custom function() to do it.

    remove_action( 'genesis_before_header', 'genesis_do_subnav' );
    add_action( 'genesis_after_header', 'custom_menu' );

    This seems to work well until I can figure out a better long-term solution.

    Back to trying to figure this out.

    Does anyone know of a better permanent solution that lets me add a second menu to the same line as the primary menu?

    ie, I’m looking at Metro and trying to add a second menu in the primary nav menu that will go on the right side of the div.
