I'm new to Genesis, and modifying child themes, and was hoping for some assistance!
I've downloaded and modified the Fabric theme, and wanted to create a template for the homepage to enable me to add an image slideshow. I can't find any tutorials that mention how to do this around the Genesis() tag that I seem to see in all the template pages...
If anyone can point me in the right direction, that would be great.
No need to create a template.
Simply hook in a new widget area in any Genesis hook location.
Or hook in your slider directly.
2 things you need top make a decision on:
1. Which slider you wan t to use
2. What hook location you want the slider to output your images.
If you only want one slider on your site, and want to use the Genesis slider, you need to create a widget area.
Otherwise, you can hook in Easing Slider or Soliloquy directly as they both provide a PHP tag and shortcode whereas Genesis do not.
