    I’m trying to remove one of the footer widgets in the Executive-pro theme.

    I’ve adjusted the functions.php file to reflect 2 widgets instead of 3…

    //* Add support for 3-column footer widgets
    add_theme_support( 'genesis-footer-widgets', 2 );

    Then I’ve updated the CSS to reflect only 2 widgets as well.

    .footer-widgets {
    	background-color: #E1DAD1;
    	color: #182E1B;
    	clear: both;
    	font-size: 14px;
    	font-size: 1.4rem;
    .footer-widgets .wrap {
    	overflow: hidden;
    	padding: 60px 30px 30px;
    	padding: 6rem 3rem 3rem;
    .footer-widgets-2 {
    	padding: 0 2.8%;
     	width: 50%;
    	float: left;
    .footer-widgets-2 {
    	float: right;
    .footer-widgets .widget {
    	margin-bottom: 30px;
    	margin-bottom: 3rem;
    	word-wrap: break-word;

    Other than changing some colors and the width of the widgets from 33.3333333333% to 50% I haven’t changed anything else. Yet the widgets aren’t aligning anymore.

    I’ve turned on borders to make sure that widget 1 is not forcing widget 2 to drop and it looks like there’s enough room.
    I even reduced the width from 50% to 49% to be sure and it’s still forcing widget 2 to drop.

    Unfortunately the site isn’t published yet so I can provide a link.

    If anyone can shed some light on why this is happening I would really appreciate it.

    As you posted this a while back, I hope you were able to get it resolved. If not, please report back, and I will escalate for you.
