    Hi there…I’m new to this forum and recently got the new Ambiance Pro Theme.

    I am trying to figure out how to keep the featured images on the homepage uniform. I noticed that some times certain image sizes that I use cause the height to be smaller. I tried to fix it by assigning the image height a fix value (ie. height: 324px;) but doing so stretches the image on media devices instead. It looks fine on a maximized computer screen web browser but if I shrink it smaller then it begins to appear stretched as well.

    How do you keep the featured images uniform? Is there a recommended image size to use?

    Thanks in advance for your help.

    Does changing the height: 324px; in max-height: 324px; help? Normal this size is set in your functions.php – image-sizes

    Hi, my name is Jan Hoek. Sure, they all say I have a big head, but I like to think it’s way too small for all my ideas.

    Hi Jan…Thank you for responding. Here’s what I added in style.css below:

    img.alignleft.entry-image {
    margin: 0;
    height: 324px; /* This was added to fix the image height */
    }

    Do I need to change it to max-height: 324px; in style.css?

    Or add it in functions.php?

    change that in your css.

    Can you take a look in your functions.php what the image-size are? They look like

    add_image_size( 'featured-medium', 340, 150, TRUE );

    It looks like this, if this what you’re referring to:

    add_image_size( ‘entry-image’, 800, 450, TRUE );

    Thats looks good and should work. I see that you uploaded different size images. Try to Regenerate your Thumbnails this would give your images the proper size.

    I regenerated the thumbnails but it’s still showing different sizes. I also changed this in my css.

    img.alignleft.entry-image {
    margin: 0;
    max-height: 324px; /* This was added to fix the image height */
    }

    Is there a recommened size for the images when I upload?

    The recommended size is 800 x 450 or 1600 x 900

    In Chrome they look perfect now
