Hi there,
NewsPRO comes with super nice social buttons. Unfortunately the have a "follow" function and not a "share" one.
I know there are some plugins around like: digg digg, sharexy and others but most of them are quite "buggy".Can someone suggest me a floating in fixed position social share plugin that works wonderful with genesis?
Ideally without share count.
Thanks

1) they don't have stumble upon
2) they talk about how good it is but they don't even use it on their own site which is not a good sign in my opinion.
Any other alternatives?
Thanks

2. Another plugin to consider is jetpack plugin (http://wordpress.org/plugins/jetpack/) by WordPress itself. You can also browse official social button plugins here - http://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=social+buttons

And yes, WP Beginner is using a custom version of their plugin, I believe they test things out using their own site as a guinea pig first. For sites that need more than what Floating Social Bar provides (or until they come out with the promised version that allows you to hook in services you want), I've started using Simple Share Buttons Adder... I think someone in the forums here recommended it a few months back.

It's a long time I don't see you in one of my threads! 🙂Anyways, I like Simple Share Buttons Adder, it's real nice, but I would like vertical icons in fixed position on the left side.
I have also posted a question in the wordpress forum asking the author if there is a way I can get his awesome looking icons and display them vertically on the left side of my site.
Unfortunately I haven't received a reply. Do you know if it's possible?
Thanks!
FabioDecember 2, 2013 at 12:31 am #76556SummerMemberHaha, that means you're asking fewer questions because you can knock them out yourself! 🙂
One that did vertical wasn't one I'd use necessarily since it requires 3rd party signups, but your mileage may vary... the one I ran across before was Simplified Social Sharing.
The other ones I've seen float the vertical layouts -- WP Socializer, and a premium one by WPMU, Floating Social

Anyways, it is hard to find a free sharing plugin without bugs and stuff. I might just buy the wpmu one...
Simplified social sharing asks for a sign up... ridiculous... I wonder if actually someone signs up... mah!
Wp socializer is a mess, totally un-user friendly. So far digg digg is the best I found. I might just go for that or the wpmu one.
Thanks for your help!
More suggestions are welcome!Fabio

Wpmu asks for subscription in order to get support! WOW!I'm going with Digg Digg then.
December 2, 2013 at 10:01 am #76606SummerMemberYou don't have to sign up for an extended subscription with WPMU if you don't want to, but you won't get free updates after a certain period of time. Gravity Forms, Soliloquy and a few other premium plugins like are renewal-based or pay-for-support based, so that shouldn't be a surprise anymore.
As for Digg Digg, let us know if they've fixed things. I used to use that one until a couple years ago when the dev got all ad-happy and the plugin became so bloated and was slowing my sites down so badly I wanted to strangle someone. I haven't even looked at it since.
