I’ve been doing some heavy reading at http://journalxtra.com (oh my, what an amazing site!). I’ve used this site’s easyguide on widgetizing a template file. Exactly what I need for the redesign of our library’s website.  Here’s the thing. I’ve followed all the directions, looked over my code more times than I can count, and I’ve done something incorrectly and just can’t figure out what.

Here’s the test site and page in question:  http://192.168.2.210/wordpress/youth-home/

So this page is based off of a template I created that has 4 widget sections.

Section 1 – spans the width of the page. Then Sections 2-4 are 3 equal columns below Section 1.

I have “placeholders” in each widget area right now. However, only the placeholders in Section 1 (.youthtop) and Section 4 (.youthright) are showing.

Anyone have a clue where I would start to troubleshoot this or read more on how to fix it?

    Thank you for your help!

    So Zo,

I have no idea. I ended up scrapping everything I did and starting over with the coding. And it worked. So the only thing I can think is there was a minor typo in coding that I couldn’t find/didn’t see originally.

Sorry I don’t have a better answer for you.

    Jenn
