I am having trouble with the author archive page. When I click on the author name, which should take me to domain.com/author/name, it just re-directs back to the homepage.

I run a few blogs that have several authors. I would like the ability to have an author archive page. When a user clicks on domain.com/author/name the user is taken to an archive page with all the posts the author has published on that blog.

I am running the Genesis Framework with the Magazine theme.

    Hi,
That’s a tricky one. I’ve got a couple things to check. You could try disabling your Advanced Author Bio plugin. If that fixes the link, then you have a plugin incompatibility.

The other lead is if you’re doing anything fancy with permalinks, either in WP admin or Yoast, that could mess it up.

Lastly (or maybe firstly!), just try doing a save on your Settings… Permalinks stuff without changing anything.

    Good luck,
    Dave

    Thanks for responding.

    I have done the following:

    -Disabled advanced author bio plugin
-I made sure there was nothing fancy being done with Yoast
-I saved the settings in permalinks without changing anything.

None of that worked. The author links is still not working.

I’m sorry to hear that…. I’d suggest opening a ticket with official support, they may have ideas. Short of that, I’m guessing you may need to hire hands-on help.

    Good luck,
    Dave
