Hello!
Part 1 - I would like to remove the site header and site description area I have the text removed but it is leaving a lot of extra white space. I have adjusted the .site-header .wrap padding and Firebug says that will fix it but when I make that change nothing will happen. Any other suggestions - or maybe it is just me, I'm not seeing the change?
Part 2 - Continue Reading, in the demo and in a site I just used with the Beautiful Pro theme each post is followed by a continue reading link with a colored background the full width of the post. Here it is only showing the [...] and I'm not seeing where to change it.
Thanks!

Part 2 did you select a theme colour or leave default? I'm not sure but the buttons might not show on default.

Extra question... what do you use for editing that maybe doesn't add extra spaces?
The default does, I set up my own site over the weekend with Beautiful-Pro and the read more button is showing plus it shows in the demo as well.

.site-header .wrap {
padding: 40px 0;
padding: 4rem 0;I use Chrome and Safari Web Inspector and line 913 shows up in both.

Any chance you have an idea on the continue reading button?
Thanks again!

About the read more, I can only ask what you changed on this particular site that made it not show up? Something in the links? It us too late for me to delve right now. If you don't figure it out, nudge me tomorrow .

Lynne emasai.comMarch 11, 2014 at 11:44 pm #94384martagParticipantFigured the continue reading thing - doh! The link shows when the more tag is used not when the blog page is set to show an excerpt only. Sheesh, I totally missed that one.
For the .site-header .wrap - I had reduced that to 10 earlier today but for some reason it is still showing up as 40px/40rem in the inspector. Need to go take a look again, maybe plugin interference? My client does have a caching plugin installed but it has not been activated and I even deleted the cache to make sure that wasn't it but thinking now that something is still interfering.
Thanks for your help!! I may be back for more brainstorming help tomorrow.
