No matter what I try I can't seem to get this site looking like I originally envisioned.
I wanted a newspaper feel to it.
There's not much color; in part due to a lack of royalty free photos in this industry.
Still haven't come up with a home page even though it's listed in the nav menu.
Any ideas would be appreciated......
Thank You
Your home page is your blog url, not a separate page called home.
Use the custom menu link box. Fill out your URL. Label it home.

Yes, I shall fix the home page as soon as i decide what to put there.
Thanks
Well, these forums are certainly not much help at all.
Just seems very quiet.
Anyone have any other suggestions as to where to go to get assistance?
Hi chalfant. First of all nice avatar. Are you familiar with Chris Whitley?
Anyway, you wanted a newspaper look. Are you talking about the pattern you're using for the content? Or an overall "newspaper" style?
I would start with all white or very light beige and try different fonts and sizes. I would check out the newspapers I like the look of best and see if they have an online version. I would check istock and others for photos of old newspapers to see what they looked like.

Bill,
Gotta love the National Guitars; wish I found an original 1932 version that was affordable, oh well..
Yes I am familiar with Chris........... Sad though.
Thanks for your thoughts. I'm looking at newspapers so will find something suitable.
Still playing around with ideas but I think I'm on the right track but who knows!
Back to it!
Cheers
