I was trying to add a code snipet and then this message came up when i saved:

Parse error:  syntax error, unexpected ‘:’, expecting ‘&’ or T_VARIABLE in /home/belmonte/public_html/wp-content/themes/news/functions.php on line 112

HELP!  i can’t even log in on the site’s wp-admin page

You need to login to cPanel, go to File Manager and delete the line of code you added to your child themes functions.php file

or use FTP to do the same thing.

You might want to backup your child themes functions.php file first.

What was the code you added?
