I am using the Streamline theme and upgraded from a previous version to the current version. There’s a search box on the right side of the navigation bar that won’t go away. I think it’s somehow left over from the previous version. And advice? Site is http://www.markparfitt.com

    Thanks!

You’ve marked this as resolved, but before I close it, I will give a recommendation, in case anyone else is looking for a solution.

Go to Dashboard > Genesis > Theme Settings > Primary Navigation Extras > remove “search box” from there.

I would like to remove the Search.

However, I’ve been up and down the Theme settings a dozen times and “Primary Navigation Extras “is nowhere to be found.

THe above posts are over a year old – has it been moved somewhere else?

Thanks, but I do need a bit of extra help.

    I am unfamiliar with PHP.

I copied the code (I did not include the opening PHP tag) and pasted it at the end in the functions.php file.

I couldn’t launch WP. I tried placing it in different places with the same result.

So I’m guessing I’m placing it in the wrong place or missing another step.

(I was able to restore to original point)

    Thanks
