I am not able to access my visual editor. The visual editor button is there but I am not select it. Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this has happened?

Thank you. I have deactivated the plugins and the problem still exists. I deleted the only plugin that was clearly a “caching plugin”.
I have gone to sites for my plugins and I have not found any information that would indicate if they are indeed caching plugins.
How would I know if the other plugins that I have are caching plugins?
Would you be able to tell me the process for “flushing any caching plugins”?
Have you ever used BulletProof Security?

REally pay attention to this one: Note: You can still have this problem if you have *ever* used the BulletProof Security in the past, even if you have removed it. If you are experiencing problems with menus and widgets and the editor and similar not working, and you have ever used BulletProof Security, even if you’re not using it anymore, then look for an .htaccess file in the /wp-admin directory, and delete it if it is there.
This has been a gotcha for several people who could no longer edit posts.
