Hello,
I've tried in vain to find a plugin (Genesis or non-Genesis) that displays categories as tabs, and then lists the posts in each of those categories by 'most popular' (whether that is by number of comments or views, I'm not too concerned). I guess this should replicate Darren Rowse's tabbed area at ProBlogger.net (three tabs, presumably each tab looks at one category, and then orders those posts by most popular).
However, despite all the 'tab' plugins out there, I haven't found one that displays tabs based on category. All I can seem to find are plugins that allow you to filter a category out of all tabs, whereas what I want to do here is filter 'in' one category per tab.
The Genesis Tab plugin (that seems to be end of life) almost did what I wanted, but a series of bugs stopped me in my tracks (specifically, it was only showing one post per category, rather than four posts like I was asking the plugin to do) .
Can anybody point me to a plugin/widget that will show several tabs, with each tab being a category of posts, and each category being ordered by 'popularity'?
Thanks!
Jamie

(Not sure why you see Genesis Tabs as ''end of life". It's been updated this year and still has the StudioPress name on it. Am I missing something?)

I believe this is the javascript used on ProBlogger.net.

Many thanks for your helpful reply.
The reason I said Genesis Tabs is 'end of life' is because I'd seen a user ask a question regarding showing more than one post in the list (as I needed) and the response they got back was a fairly short response of "No, we don't plan to extend the features of this plugin" (and reading between the lines... "No, we also don't plan to support users in customizing it"). It was a shame to see to be honest. Most plugin authors will at least provide a little guidance to help users extend plugin features, or at the very least confirm they will take the suggestion on board for future development. That said, I'll give them their due as the plugin is free to use so I'm sure they help as much as they can, where they can.
Again, many thanks for your help. I'm sure one of those options you listed will provide what I need.
Thanks!
Jamie
