    Hi,
    Need some help. I need to have the primary sidebar not show on the home page and have a home page sidebar show instead. I am half way there but need some help.

    My Site is here:

    http://drnathalie.ca/

    1. The white bar you see across the orange title with white writing is the original primary widget (i think) that i need removed.

    2. scroll down and see the sidebar content that i want on the right but it seems that i cant get it in the right place. keeps showing down below everything.

    Thank you so much for the help.

    Try adding the following at the end of theme’s style.css (WP Dashboard > Appearance > Editor):

    .home #sidebar {
        display: none;
    }

    #home-right {
        width: 290px;
        margin-top: 400px;
    }

    Thank you Sridhar,
    that seems to be working… do you see how there is footer text showing on the 3rd widget down? I think i have the footer messed up now. Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Your site (at least the homepage) seems to be having ‘divitis’.

    Ensure that the opening/closing tags are matched.

    Footer is appearing in the home-right div because it is in it.

    As a temporary band-aid if you would like the footer content to show up (below the last widget) without the overlap, use this CSS:

    .home #footer {
        margin-top: 0;
        clear: both;
    }

    .home #footer a, .home #footer a:visited, .home #footer a:hover {
        color: #333;
    }

    Thank you so much. And yes, i need to address the “divitis”. Love that term.

    Thank you for the previous help and i was able to clean up some <div> mess.

    I have figured out that what i really want to do is apply this:

    .full-width-content #content {
    width: 920px;
    margin: 0 0 10px 0;
    padding: 0 15px 10px 5px;
    }

    to the <div id=”content” class=”hfeed”>

    on the home page. When I view <div id=”content” class=”hfeed”> in Firebug I see that is now has the CSS of

    .sidebar-content #content, .content-sidebar #content {
    width: 600px;
    }
    How do i make that content area have the full width attribute.

    Thank you ahead of time.

    Add the following at the end of child theme’s style.css:

    .home #content {
        width: 100%;
    }

    #home-right {
        margin-top: 0;
    }

    #footer {
        margin-top: 0;
        color: #333;
        clear: both;
        height: auto;
    }

    #footer a, #footer a:visited {
        color: #0000ee;
    }
