    Greetings,

    I’m fairly new to using Genesis.  I’ve got a child theme set up that has no single.php file.  The one included in the Genesis core files only includes the code;

    <?php

    genesis();

    Question:  Is there a tutorial or a sample that shows how I can expand my layout possibilities with individual blog posts?  My assumption is that the new single.php file would be calling the get_header and get_footer functions … and all the other other necessary functions in between (I just don’t know what I should be starting with).

    Thanks in advance for your replies!

    I got it!  No need to reply.  I used THIS as my new single.php file (pasted below).

    <?php

    get_header();
    genesis_before_content_sidebar_wrap();
    ?>
    <div id=”content-sidebar-wrap”>

    <?php genesis_before_content(); ?>
    <div id=”content” class=”hfeed”>
    <?php
    genesis_before_loop();
    genesis_loop();
    genesis_after_loop();
    ?>

    </div><!– end #content –>
    <?php genesis_after_content(); ?>

    </div><!– end #content-sidebar-wrap –>
    <?php
    genesis_after_content_sidebar_wrap();
    get_footer();
