One of my pages has suddenly added a weird little width scroll slider thing (does not really do much hardly moves but should not be there - it has only just recently occurred out the blue at the very bottom of this specific page (fairly long content)
We have side bar and main content area and very bottom of this pages is now a scroll width slider suddenly appeared!
****we use studio press lifestyle theme V1.0
NOTE on doing inspect element google chrome it was this code below and on unchecking the overflow auto box in elements live preview it got rid of it and click again it came back
content .entry-content
overflow: autoNo idea how to get rid of this and make it work back over in my style sheet anyone please?
- however on clicking inspect elements and css it seemed this was the css code If I am correct below ?#content .entry-content {
overflow: auto;
}.entry-content {}
I am in the right place ? If so what do I need to do to get rid of the slide thing please and any idea why this may have happened to just that page ?

Go into the stylesheet and, at that line number, make your change.

March 22, 2015 at 2:07 pm #145220JennyLonMemberThanks, but no idea what changes I specifically actually need to do code wise!? to the style sheet As mentioned ....
Using chrome element simply by me un checking the over flow auto auto box thing it got rid of it but what do you ACTUALLY have to do, once you find that bit of code in my style sheet?***Also no idea how suddenly it came about and added in this width scroll bar-any ideas why it may have happened?
March 22, 2015 at 3:07 pm #145231JennyLonMemberOk, further to my last post
I changed the css of:
content .entry-content
hidden; instead of its default auto:
and it cured it! BUT, not sure If I did the right good thing though?
Please let me know in case down the road may cause other problems this change I did might not be the correct thing...?
(my thoughts are as maybe something on the page when last edited caused this scroll bar to suddenly be there and hence technically the offending issue is still there?)Basically I found how to fault find this by I did a google search and asked this: website has content overflow problem
first page came up and helped me and I quickly read through (much way above me!) however, he mentioned on way was to simply change the code as mentioned from content overflow of original of being auto, to now calling it hidden
maybe others out there who suddenly get scroll bar added to one of their pages vertical or in my case horizontal at the bottom of one of my pages will find this resource useful: at this site: https://css-tricks.com/findingfixing-unintended-body-overflow/ -
