Hi, I’ve got a site I’m running on Prose. I really love the layout of the Cre8tive Burst home page, but don’t care for all the other styling that goes with it. StudioPress support told me it’s “easy” to just copy and paste the home page from one theme to another.

This particular one uses widgets to get its 3-column before loop layout. It has a home.php file, which I’ve copied into my Prose folder. It registers the widgets in the functions.php file, and I’ve copied/pasted that into the Custom Code /php area in Prose.

It doesn’t break anything, which is good, but it doesn’t work either. I don’t know enough to know what I’m missing.

I’m playing with it on my test site at http://writeplacerighttime.com/wordpress

    Thanks.
