    Hi,

The “filter themes” dropdowns on studiopress.com (http://my.studiopress.com/themes/)  need to be updated as they incorrectly include the Corporate theme as “mobile responsive” which is manifestly is not either by browser testing or via testing tool (e.g. http://quirktools.com/screenfly/#u=http%3A//demo.studiopress.com/corporate/&w=320&h=568&a=37&s=1)

The theme chooser (http://my.studiopress.com/choose-theme/) does not include this theme as mobile responsive.  It would be helpful if they were both correct.

    Thanks in advance,

    Anne

When I select the two areas, Corporate does not show up in either one. But I will move this into the Bug area.

Anything further to this? I’m using this theme for a client. I can view the site ok on my mobile phone, i.e. it’s not spread out or anything. But he’s had a tech come along and say it’s not mobile responsive and now he wants it fixed. Haven’t got any idea how to get started on that.

Corporate is not a mobile responsive theme and is not slated for to be converted to responsiveness. They are getting ready to release Genesis 2.0 when WP 3.6 comes out, so I know Corporate will not be converted. It would be best to do one of two things if responsiveness is important to your clients – 1) hire a developer to convert it for you or 2) find another theme that “is” responsive and customize the CSS to what you already have. Number 2 probably would be much easier to do. If you aren’t familiar with this process, send me an email on my website with the details and url of your clients’ site and I will be glad to take a look to see what can be done.

Thank you for that. I’ve found another theme that will probably do the trick. Client likes the colours of this theme but mobile responsive is now being advised by his mentor. So off to sort that out!

    Hi Kathie,

My client is really wedded to the Corporate theme and the customization we’ve done on it so I went ahead and started making the stylesheet mobile friendly.  It’s fairly easy to do (you can check the work in progress here: http://www.dcmassagetherapies.com) and you’re free to swipe my mobile stuff now or once it’s done.

What I’m dreading is reducing the menu to a dropdown rather than standard nav for small devices (iphone chiefly).   It will be a challenge. :)

    Cheers,

    Anne

@adougherty you did a nice job. For your menu, did you add a custom menu for that? Shannon of Eight Crazy Designs did a third menu under Menus on her Innov8tive theme. You just activate that menu and drag over the links you want. You don’t have to do every link you have, but the ones you think are more important for responsiveness.

Thanks for the offer Anne, but I think I’ll just go find another mobile responsive theme.  The client wants me to get it done asap at minimal cost to him :-)

@antiac – Thanks!  If by custom menu you mean something specifically for responsive, no, but that’s a good thought.  I’ve seen your basic menu turned into a select list for mobile versions so it’s a bit like the holy grail.

@kathiemt – You’re welcome!  But if course the client wants it fast and cheap.  Do they ever want it any other way? ;)

    Cheers,

    Anne
