I would like to utilize the Custom Menu with a short text phrase (non clickable, non hoverable), then the 2 menu items to the right of it. All within this Custom Menu.
I have set this up. The problem is that I want to disable the text portion (first menu item) and make it appear to be strictly text and not a part of the Custom Menu.
In CSS I did see that first menu item is menu-item-86. But not sure how to disable it. In fact not sure this is possible at all.
The URL is here:
Please let me know if it IS possible.
Add a CSS class to the menu item and then add # to the url field
Thanks for writing! I did add the #. But no idea how to style that one me u item to turn off the hyper linking functionality. For just that menu item. Okay maybe I turn off a:hover. That right? Thinking about it more now.
I would add a class to that specific menu item and then apply CSS to it.
Try this post which has a few options http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/30303/how-make-top-level-menu-item-not-have-link-but-have-sub-menus-that-are-linked
