I’m using Genesis I would like to have a different look for one of the categories and the single pages for posts made in that category (titles removed, different meta etc).

What would be the best way to do this – a child theme? If so, I’ve never worked with child themes, is there an easy way to get started? Maybe like a “empty” theme.

Or maybe there’s a plugin that would be able to accomplish what I need?

Thanks in advance for any help around this!

    Try the Genesis Sample Theme.

    1. You could create a custom post type
    2. Or add a custom body class to the category archive and posts in that category
    3. Or even add a second style sheet for posts in that category.
    4. Or create a unique archive page and single.php template for that category

Thank you very much for your reply, braddalton!

I think it sounds like #2 might be the best option for me. I’ll give it a try.
