I want to add another section to a footer. I am using simple hooks but it is expanding across the page...meaning its taking up the whole container of the page and I just want it to be sized to 1140px along with the rest of the page.
How do I customize simple hook areas? I want to put some margins on the sides of the footer and change the background color & font. Thanks!
To get a better understanding... you'll see whats on the page now at the footer section. The "service areas" is the hook I want to customize.

This means that the section doesn't have a structural wrap, thus it has no margin alignment. In the very least, you should wrap the content in a div tag with a class of "wrap" and something else to uniquely identify that area. For example:
<div class="wrap services-footer-area"> Service Areas </div>
This is a very simple/minimal example of the markup you'll need. Depending on your requirements, you'll likely need more.

Agree with Ren above. You are going to have to learn how to use CSS to style the content tht you will be including.
Also, a few other things that you may or may not be aware of.
At tablet and mobile sizes, the social buttons and the phone number in the header of your site starts to cover up your logo.
Also, (and maybe this is done on purpose) you have two different toll free numbers listed, One is 860-639-8944 and the other is 866-626-4989. Maybe you WANT both numbers listed, but it might make more sense to have just one number listed since it might be easier for people to memorize.
Also, since toll free numbers are cheap, why not just list that first? I have found that people don't really understand that local calls don't cost THEM money, so even local people would PREFER to use your toll-free number, just because they have engrained in their mind that "800 numbers are free".
Also, it just looks more professional. It is similar to having an email address with your domain name in it compared to having an email with one of the free email services.

And thanks for your input on the phone numbers. I am still trying to decide what numbers to put. Site is still under construction 😛 -
