    Hi.. I’m trying to enlarge/widen the header on my blog. It’s left-aligned, and I’d like it centered and bigger. I don’t have a functions.php file with this theme, so I’m not even sure where exactly I need to make the changes. Can anyone help? The blog is at http://www.dangerouscupcakedesigns.com. Thanks!

    Add the keyword center to the background. Look for this in your css file and add center as shown.

    #title-area a {
    background: url(http://dangerouscupcakedesigns.com/wp-content/uploads/feb-trans-logo.png) center no-repeat;
    }

    If you want to center and scale the size of that background image then you could add forward slash, like so:

    #title-area a {
    background: url(http://dangerouscupcakedesigns.com/wp-content/uploads/feb-trans-logo.png) center/40% no-repeat;
    }

    First, thank you so much! Working on it now!

    Can I add on one other question? I’m considering aligning the menu on the same line but to the right, like this blog:

    Any ideas?

    Thanks again!

    Here is a portion of my .css file — I’m missing something, I’m sure…meaning me, I can’t find where I need to make the changes:

    /* Header
    ———————————————————— */

    What are you using to add that logo? I wouldn’t recommend adding the logo that way, however you’re doing it. Remove whatever that is, and just copy paste the above code to your stylesheet, it should work.

    But if you want a navigation on the right then I guess that would be pointless. If your theme has a header right widget area, you can put a navigation widget (or whatever its called I don’t remember) in there.

    I’m guessing you’re using a custom header function, I never use that myself. Much better to do that in the css stylesheet rather than hardcoding that style in the html.

    You are right, I was using the customization option and it’s definitely not doing what I’d hoped. I appreciate your help!

    No prob. Using the custom option is perfectly fine (It just adds the exact same code as above, but in the html instead of the stylesheet).
