I’m wondering if you could help me out with this one.
I use WPMU latest version, with BuddyPress latest version and Genesis/Eleven40 theme.
I’m securing BP so non-logged in users can’t see activity streams etc.
I think I’m almost done, but I still see some RSS feeds in the page source (allready removed the links using CSS).
I tried some function.php hacks, but it doesn’t seem to work.
I do not want to use RSS or other feeds on my WPMU/BP site, so completely disabling would be ok.
Does anybody know a way to partially or completely disable RSS and other feeds in WP and BP?
Here are some instructions for removing from WordPress itself – http://www.wpsyntax.com/wordpress/disable-worpdress-rss-feed.
Check out this link to disable feeds in Buddypress – http://buddypress.org/support/topic/disable-all-rss-feeds/.
Thanks for replying!
I already found these postings and already added everything to bp-custom.php which does seem to work.
Strange enough I still found an XML view when opening the BuddyPress main feed: https://autilink.nl/activiteit/feed/
I disconnected the Activity Stream page from “Activiteit” and then reconnected it.
Maybe some cashing occurred, because now I do get an “Feeds are disabled” notification as it should.
Thanks for helping!
