Hope I picked the right section to post this, I’m not too familiar with the new forum layout. Anyway, I’m currently putting together a fairly simple layout for a friend of mine (http://morgan-kane.com/test/) and I am trying to put together a good videos section that doesn’t require multiple posts. I came across this site (http://theotisbeasley.net/videos/) while browsing around recently and I love this setup for videos. I was wondering if anyone has set up anything similar and have any tips or ideas on how to go about this? I searched around the forum and didn’t find what I was looking for and everything I’ve searched online seems to bring up a way too broad range of results.

You can determine how many videos you want to display on each page and style them fairly easily.
I have used it for slides Example: http://wpsites.net/slides/
I don’t think the Sample Child comes with a portfolio page template or custom post type for this type of page however, you have at least 3 choices.
Change themes – Pick one with the same sizes as Sample Theme
Create a portfolio page template using Brian’s tutorial – http://www.briangardner.com/portfolio-page/
Install the portfolio plugin (very beta) – http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/genesis-portfolio/

January 4, 2013 at 9:30 pm #9677Okay, I’ve been playing around with this on my local xampp install to get a feel for it. I’m trying to figure out how I’d like to set things up for this site in particular. What I think I’d like to do is have on the videos page is have it broken up into a few options for the videos. I guess if I could give a visual it would be like this:
2013 Monster Truck Videos | 2012 Monster Truck Videos | 2012 Mud Racing Videos
2011 Monster Truck Videos | 2010 Monster Truck Videos | OtherAnd then have a portfolio like setup for the option itself, so you can view 2013 Monster Truck Video posts under 2013 Monster Truck Videos and so on if that makes any sense. Could I make a 2013 Monster Truck Videos as parent with a custom field to work similar to a blog page so it pulls the child posts for 2013 Monster Truck Videos?
