    Hi guys,

    I am using Eleven40 theme now and I noticed I can’t change the layout of the homepage. I have manually adjusted my home php to show 6 posts. Now my only question is how to set image to show on the home page? Reason is because I did not use the featured image option but instead, I place the images on the starting of the post like a 700 x 400 size.

    Is there any way to enable the images to show on homepage?

    Sorry for the confusion and thank you.

    Are you using your ( Featured image ) setting for your blog post? you can assign and image for any individual post and it will be displayed on your home page as well..

    Hi Rob,

    That’s the thing, I am not using featured image as previous theme (Magazine) do not require a featured image to pop up on main page.

    Any way to go around this?

    Thank you.

    rename your home.php to front-page.php and any functions in your theme’s templates that are is_home, change it to is_front_page

    > You will have to build a custom loop and add the featured image replacing featured-image with the custom image size you should have put in your functions.php ( http://gregrickaby.com/genesis-code-snippets/ has some snippets that might help if you have not already done this.)

    ” /><?php the_post_thumbnail( ‘thumbnail’, array( ‘class’ => ‘featured-image’ ) ); ?>

    @Reginald I’ve tested the same theme Eleven40 and the image I’ve place with my test post seems to showing correctly on my home page. Did you change anything in your function.php file recently that might interfear with these functions? Just trying to grasp what’s going on why your post images are now showing up on your home page…
