Tagged: eleven40 logo
I just switched to the Eleven40 theme and I want to add my logo in place of the Text now showing on top.
The default logo size is said to be 320px x 65px.
My logo is 420px x 65px. (Even though the default text showing is way more than 320px).
Anyway, i am a WordPress rookie so is there an easy way to edit the theme so that I can put my 420px wide logo and not have it cropped (height will be the same).
Thanks very much!
In functions file change the width
//* Add support for custom header add_theme_support( 'custom-header', array( 'width' => 320, 'height' => 65, 'header-selector' => '.site-header .title-area', 'header-text' => false ) );
Then in the css file change the width for .title-area
The newbie side of me has to ask, where is the functions file and the css?
Are those in the WordPress desktop somewhere?
I found "Editor" but not sure if anything is in there.
I would not mess around with the Editor as a newbie. I believe the Genesis Extender plugin can do this for the non-coder.
Thanks. I did a search for "Genesis Extender" but nothing came up in the plugins search that matched that. i will do some research into how to make the edits you mentioned and hopefully it will work out.
Here you go plus a video about what it does
