I was contacted by the client that randomly searching her website she found the notice " this site may be hacked". Just search Oliver's bird toys and you will see it. I'm afraid this is a bit out of my league but spent hours looking through files and codes. genesis and WP as well as plugins are all up to date. I went to google webmaster tools and did a few things. I phoned the hoster which is godaddy and they said they some tests and didn't see any problems. I've installed Wordfence now too. The website is http://www.oliversgarden.com/

The theme is Executive ProJanuary 22, 2015 at 10:24 am #138268David ChuParticipantSorry to hear that. I ran a quick Sucuri sitecheck on it, and nothing bad came up. I also viewed the source of the homepage, nothing weird that I can see. Admittedly, I didn't scrutinize every page. The site actually looks great.
You or the client can try this Google procedure to see what might be amiss. If the site already has a Google Webmaster Tools account, you won't even have to sign up.
Good luck!

January 22, 2015 at 3:07 pm #138298TracyMemberThankyou David for the time you spent for me. I worked on the Google webmaster tools last night among other things, checking security and doing the Fetch as Google without really knowing what if anything that was accomplishing. Below is 1 of 4 links that was questionable and in the rendering I did see it as the 'title' but when I go to that link it is my site but "page not found"

Now, I have made a request that Google remove the note "this page may have been hacked" but don't know what will happen now. do you have any experience with any of this?
Thanks again
January 22, 2015 at 3:09 pm #138299TracyMemberSorry, I meant also to note that in that link after oliversgarden.com it's /mess.asp I found that mess.asp file in the root along with my wordpress files which wasn't there originally, so I deleted it from the server. Would that have been anything in your opinion?
January 22, 2015 at 3:21 pm #138301David ChuParticipantI don't have direct experience with removing things from Google warnings, no. I just have general knowledge about the issue, but I'm not a security hacker per se.
That said, I think you did well to delete that file, which is clearly not part of WordPress.
It's possible that file did come from something suspicious. My general suggestion would be to possibly change passwords on the hosting and FTP just in case.
The site's hosting company may actually help you for no charge. I would suggest starting with them and describe what happened. If that doesn't solve it, the most thorough thing to do would be to hire someone to look into it, someone who is well-versed in security. You could hire Sucuri if you don't know anyone.
Good luck, Dave
