I'm having a strange thing happen on my pages where even though I have no featured image set it is giving me
one above the page content. Doesn't matter if I delete everything on the page, the featured image is still showing up.
Only happening on static pages not on the blog.
I had the code snippet for adding featured images in my functions file. I deleted it thinking that would stop this problem but it is still happening. I'm on Chrome using the latest Mac OS. I still see the featured image on mobile and my PC as well.
Any ideas? Thanks!http://directionsnotincluded.com/about-us
I would try double-checking your functions.php file.
Seems like you must have code hooked into the genesis_entry_header hook that is adding in a featured image just below title of the page.
If not, please provide more details/information.

Thanks, Eric. Found it! It was actually in a plugin I was using called Genesis Simple Hooks. Any idea on how to get it to execute on blog posts only and not on static pages? I'll dig around.
This is what was there.
<?php genesis_image( array( ‘size’ => ‘top’ ) ); ?>
Thanks so much!
