HI! I am looking for a responsive theme that matches/fits, fulfills the theme want list at http://tinyurl.com/themewantlist I am excited in finding Executive Pro Theme http://my.studiopress.com/themes/executive/ It looks exactly how I would like it, but the text and pictures in the slider both move. That might be all right.
How much to what extent does the Executive Pro match/fit, fulfill the theme want list. What would have to be added, changed, coded, recoded? So my questions are these:
Is the Executive Pro Genesis framework the same of different from parallax pro and lifestyle pro theme 3.0? If different, how so?
In the slider, can the text be made stationary and only pictures move or slide?
Can speed of slider be controlled, varied, slowed down?
Can the number of text and images that are in the slider be controlled, have the number you would like? Can the colors in the border around the page and the page itself be easily changed to just about any color you would like? ‘
Can the area where Executive Pro is be set off, and made into its own rectangular area with its own color different from the border around it?Is there a responsive theme (s) that is a better match/fit for the theme want list http://tinyurl.com/themewantlist If so, what it be?
Thanks for any ideas, suggestions or who I might contact.
http://tinyurl.com/themewantlist http://my.studiopress.com/themes/executive/June 14, 2014 at 6:17 am #109696AnitaKeymasterYou have quite an extensive list in your pose and in your document. That's all well and good, but if you were my client - I would ask you what are you wanting it to look like from aesthetically. Do you have other sites or themes that you've seen? That you would like to model after? Once you have an idea of what you want it to look like - then build in the features you want. Are you planning on building this from the onset yourself? Do you have a site already that you are converting?

June 14, 2014 at 9:26 am #109724crbeddMemberAnitac, Thanks for your reply. It is much appreciated. I really want to settle on a theme, framework, and move on to creating the site. I have been looking at lots and lots and lots of themes, and asking many, many sources about themes, frameworks that fulfill the theme want list, especially 1. I had initially seen one that gave me the idea for 1, but it was too restrictive, limiting. Recoding was required just to change the color.
When I came across the Executive Pro, I couldn’t believe my eyeballs and had to rub them a couple of times. Was it a mirage like being in a hot desert too long, tired and thirsty.
So yes, I have looked at other themes and would like the Executive Pro to be the model, but would like the questions I posted about it answered, and the items below are considerations.
Also, are there any other options, is there any other theme, framework in the theme, framework universe that is like the Executive Pro, and fulfills 1 and the rest of the theme want list?
I think the theme want list has the features I want, but maybe there is 9 Other? Anything missed, or not taken into consideration that should be? I am not exactly sure what you mean by looking like aesthetically. That makes me think of colors, and 3 and 8 in the theme want list.
I want help with getting the site started like I did with the first WP site, but prefer someone who can cover 5 really well, and really knows, is experienced in top quality, best practice internet and on ground marketing, selling, promoting, PR. That is a top priority and goes right along with 6. A regular, business, ecommerce type theme and website that will have a store with affiliate programs and selling my own educational materials.
I think that answers your questions and has what I am thinking of or would like. Any other ideas or suggestions from you or anyone else is welcomed and appreciated.
Thanks!!!

I'm no expert at doing anything that you require but thought I'd point you towards a few tools that I used to determine the theme I wanted and then cross referenced it with what is already in use by using http://www.wpbyexample.com and http://www.wpthemedetector.com. Not sure if that helps.

Thanks!! Randy

The article is a beast and goes into great detail with tricks & tips for what to look for in a theme. I shared it on the Entrepreneur section of Reddit and it was well received. Not sure, but it might help
