Can I get the Genesis Featured Post widget to respect the “More” tag in a post? I want the Abstract in the post http://www.davidrosenconsultants.com/february-2013-opportunities-for-indies/ but not the link.
If you set the widget to show full content instead of the excerpt, it should stop at the <!–more–> tag in your post.
Thanks for the reply! I tried the more tag, but the Genesis Featured Post widget does not respect that tag. It displays the full page content of the post on the sidebar of http://www.davidrosenconsultants.com/. The first post text is below:
Traditional broadcast and cable television is in free fall. More and more viewers are turning to alternative viewing options offered through “broadband” services facilitated by the Internet. What does this mean for indies?<!–more–>
How about using Show Content and then using the character count field to limit what’s returned?
Thanks. I really wanted to stop the display at a certain point and not have the link show in the sidebar. I guess that is a bug in the Genesis Featured Post widget.
