I’ve been using Genesis theme at for a while. Recently I noticed the tweets are showing. Instead it just has a message, something like “last post 160000 days ago”

I checked the plugin setting and repopulate the variables, but it still doesn’t show any tweet and on the plugin page it has an error
Twitter Exception Message: SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate

I’ve been asking my best friend google but have not been able to resolve this.

Does any know how to fix this?

It looks like there are a number of issues with the plugin being reported in the plugin’s support forum. I would suggest starting a thread there as well so the authors realize how widespread the issues are.

@kiwi99 That was an error an older version of the Genesis Latest Tweets plugin started kicking out earlier this year. Are you using the newest version?

You could also create an app widget at Twitter to embed on your website as well… those do look nicer, imo

I haven’t created any app widget yet. Can you give me some pointer on what I need to do?

You’d log in to your Twitter account, and go to Settings > Widgets and follow the instructions to create it, then add it to your website using a text widget in a sidebar of your choice.
