    I would like to add a backgound image to my site (primary Nav) which is set above the header and centered on the page. If anyone would be kkind enough to assist, I would greatly appreciate it. Looked and tried many things to no success.
    Thanks in advance and have a great new year.

    Line 1045 of your style.css file is this:
    [css]
    .nav-primary {
    background-color: #333;
    }
    [/css]

    Change to this and upload the image name nav-bg to your child themes images folder:
    [css]
    .nav-primary {
    background-image: url(images/nav-bg.png);
    }
    [/css]

    You may also need to change the font color:

    [css]
    [css]
    .nav-primary a {
    color: yellow;
    }
    [/css]
