I've been using simple sidebars with no problem until today--the custom sidebars are not being recognized by the site. This page (http://network1consulting.com/development1/it-services/backup-disaster-recovery/) has a quote on the sidebar--this was a Simple Sidebar creation. When I go to edit the page, the custom sidebar is no longer displayed in the Primary Sidebar dropdown. It just says "This is the primary sidebar if you are using a two or three column site layout option."
What has changed with your WordPress installation? Have you upgraded anything?
Try to rule out any plugin conflicts. Deactivate all plugins and test to see if the issue is still occurring. If it is not, then we know it is a problem with a plugin. You can then find out which plugin it is by reactivating each plugin individually and testing to see if the problem starts happening after the activation. When it occurs after activating a plugin, then we know this is the culprit.
Mine didn't quit, it is a fresh install but not working. It's not a plugin conflict, I tested. I get the option of choosing the custom sidebar but it's not showing , just the Primary (default). Thought it might be custom permalinks, but no. Any other ideas?
