I am trying to setup Google Authorship for my site but to no avail. I am using the method described here.
http://www.copyblogger.com/wordpress-google-authorship/
I am using structured data test tool but it always return " authroship is not working for this webpage"
I am not adding any codes whatsoever or using any plugin. I am just following the 3 steps as mentioned in the article.
Please tell me what I am doing wrong here.
Shall I wait for a couple of days and retest using structure data testing tool ? or it gives results instantly
thanks,
Faisal
http://www.telecomlighthouse.comJuly 31, 2014 at 1:36 pm #116469AnitaKeymasterThat's an older blog post by Brian. Since that time they have added some features in the Framework itself that should assist you. Here are just a few tips
1) First, it looks like you are using version 1.9.2 of the Framework. You should update that.
2) Go to Your User Profile - scroll down to Google+ - have you added the URL to your personal Google+ Account in that field? If not, do so and Save it.
3) Also, you are using the Yoast SEO plugin. Go to the SEO tab on the left - click on Social. Click the Google+ tab. Have you entered the URL of your Google+ "Business" page/profile? If not, do so and Save it.Fill in the other Social accounts too if you have them.
Now on the Google+ profile and page - have you added the URL to your Author page on your website? If not, add that there and save it. Add to both the Google+ personal profile and the business page.
That should be a start for you.

thanks
1, I have updated to latest Genesis
2. I had already Google plus account in the following formathttps://plus.google.com/u/0/104258987767005626071/posts
3 I am not using Yoast SEO plug in. ( only using Google Analytics Plugin)
4 I have added my website to both personal and google plus page.
Still the message I get is that authorship is not working for this webpage.
July 31, 2014 at 8:16 pm #116519AnitaKeymasterI misread your code - it is the Yoast Analytics. Go to Genesis > SEO Settings. Do you have your business Google+ URL entered there? Also, just to make sure I understand you - Go to Users > Your Profile, scroll down to Google+ - is your URL in there for your personal Google+ account?

Yes I have entered Google+ profile of personal in the Users ..profile and just now entered business google page in Genesis - SEO settings.
My business vanity Google plus profile is

However the situation remains same.
August 1, 2014 at 8:22 am #116567AnitaKeymasterLook at this screenshot - http://awesomescreenshot.com/04738vogaf - see my note. Add the URL to your About Me page to both of those areas.
Look at this screenshot - http://awesomescreenshot.com/09738vpq56 - You need to add this also to the same place as the above areas on your Google+ (under Contributors and Website) - http://www.telecomlighthouse.com/author/faisal-khan/ - It cannot find that page.
Are you using this tool to test it? http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets.
