How can I preview the "home page" when it uses a home.php layout (e.g. enterprise theme)? I'm building a site where the old site is still live via index.html. As the server seem to have index.html as preference to index.php, I can actually view all pages live (not just preview via admin). But puzzled how I can view the home.php as I have to disable the index.html to view ...and then the public can also see construction site. So any ideas how to preview the "home" page, even via admin?
yeh that is the only way i know of, disable the index.html (or rename it temporarily)
when building a client site, i install wordpress in a new directory called "wordpress" (or whatever you like), this way i can work on the whole site as it is in a separate directory and not in the main root directory.
then it is easy to just put the site live when done
let me know if you need any further info on this.
