I am trying to create 2 columns with divs. Is there a way to align them? I would love to have 2 columns of images with the title under the image.http://www.creative-printables.com/autonav-with-div-instead-of-table/
2 widgets inline would be the best however you could use content columns using HTML and the CSS is already included in Genesis.
You don't need to install a plugin for the columns however when using Prose, there's a Prose Extras plugin to add widgets. May only work on homepage so try this http://wpsites.net/web-design/add-2-widgets-inline-before-the-loop-on-home-page-of-the-education-theme/
This list is created with a shortcode which grabs the first image from each post in a category. Would that work with the solutions you suggested? I'm not sure how I can do it when all I have is the shortcode and no list or text.
Its not needed to use a plugin to create content columns when Genesis already included them. http://my.studiopress.com/tutorials/content-column-classes/
You can easily style the columns which i have already written about or add 2 widgets inline. http://wpsites.net/web-design/style-content-columns/
