I would like to add some items (either some text or banner image or opt-in form) at the end of each and every posts, and only on blog posts and not on pages. How can I do this? Is there anywhere central that I can just add this in one time and it appears every single time a blog post is done?

Also, there might be cases where I want certain blog posts to feature only certain type of content at the end of the blog post, and not the general content for the other posts, how can I achieve this?

I used to be able to do the above using hooks using the thesis theme, but for genesis, please advice how I can do these?

You can do this with hooks also with Genesis Simple Hooks – http://www.studiopress.com/plugins/simple-hooks. And here is also the hook guide – http://genesistutorials.com/visual-hook-guide/.

I installed the plugin already, but what do the following mean? Should I tick those or not?

    Execute Shortcodes on this hook?
    Execute PHP on this hook?

And where can I get the tutorial on how to insert items in certain posts only, or how can I exclude certain items from specific posts?

Another thing, currently, for the hook genesis_after_post_content, it posts whatever I want into the end of the content after the tags listing. Is there anyway I can make these go right before the tags listing?

@Ted, I am not that great but Nick always says, “you need to use conditional tags.” Here is the WordPress Conditional Tags information you would need – http://codex.wordpress.org/Conditional_Tags.

For executing the PHP, if you put PHP code in there – you need to check the box Execute PHP on this hook. The same with the shortcode, if you add a Shortcode, you need to Execute Shortcode on this hook.

For the location, play around with the different locations like genesis_after_post or genesis_after_content.
