    I’m currently using the Sample child theme and want to change the width of the tabs on the navigation / menu bar.

    At the moment, the tabs are all different lengths based on the length of the title. Instead, I want to make them an equal length, with longer titles being wrapped on to a second line. Titles that are shorter should appear in the center of the tab rather than aligned left or right.

    I’m assuming there’s some kind of simple CSS styling that I’d add, but I’ve no idea what to add. I’ve Googled and done a search on this forum and couldn’t find an answer that worked.

    On a site I have on Blogger, the following code worked

    .tabs-inner .widget li a {
    width: 71px;
    height: 44px;
    text-align: center;
    }

    but doesn’t seem to on WordPress. Anyone know what I should add? If you do, would you also mind letting me know exactly where on the CSS stylesheet it should be added – can it just be added at the end of the sheet, or would it need to go in a particular section?
