I'm using simple sidebars plugin to create unique sidebars for individual pages, so that the sidebar doesn't always just contain ads, but relevant content too. This is desirable because people quickly realise sidebars are often just displaying ads and become blind to them or deliberately ignore them.
However, I've just realised that although the eleven40 theme displays brilliantly on small screens such as the iPhone it displays the sidebar last. This means articles with comments break up the content putting integral content easily seen on a normal monitor right down at the bottom. I have some articles with hundreds of comments so people will never see the sidebar, which now contains part of the content.
Is there any way to get the small screen version to display the main content, then the sidebar and comments last please? Otherwise my strategy, which makes a lot of sense is thwarted.
You can achieve this one of two ways. First, instead of using sidebars for additional content, you could use Genesis Column Classes. This will keep all of your content above the comments, while breaking down the . See this tutorial on how to use them (http://www.billerickson.net/using-column-classes/).
The other option would be to move the location of the comments to another area on the page using Genesis Hooks & Filters. Below are some links with some information on Hooks, Filters and Comments.
