I would like to have more child categories and I have already filled up both the primary and secondary navigation menus will a lot of categories and sub-categories and the home page is already completely filled up with dropdowns.

Please, what can I do to have more categories and at the same time that the home page is not completely messed up with menus and sub-menus (drop- downs) running from up to down ?

You can create as many categories as you won’t – you don’t have to add them to your menu.

If you want users to be able to search your site by categories, have you considered adding a category search widget to your sidebar (or somewhere else on your site)?

    Thanks.

Could you recommend a good example of such widgets?

Gordy – use the “Category” widget – you can see it in action in the sidebar of my own blog - just for you, I added that widget in all it’s configurations to the sidebar – categories as drop-down; categories as hierarchy, and categories with post count.

Gordy – my blog is just my crafting site – the link is in my earlier post. Look in the sidebar on the left, you will see the different category styles.

Gordy – it’s not a plugin – you should just see it in your widget area – it’s called “Categories”, and yes, you can chose what to display (or not display).
