I'm using the Blissful theme for a client and now realize that it is not responsive as she would like. http://www.monica-suma.com
I've used other "non-responsive" Studio Press themes for other sites yet they appear responsive on mobile devices. I've even checked out other sites using the Blissful theme and they too seem responsive.
Any suggestions of how to do this without switching themes?
Thanks in advance!

Can you give me an idea on what that code may look like and where it should live? I'm checking out the stylesheets of other responsive themes for ideas.
I've also been checking out this post but not sure where I'm putting the code: http://www.studiopress.com/design/website-respond-mobile-devices.htm
Thanks again!

As for where to look, look at the end of any of the responsive theme's stylesheets and you'll see tons of responsive media queries. Those, combined with % widths above, rather than fixed px widths, allow for responsiveness.

I've now tried two different responsive themes (outreach and magazine) and it's still not showing properly on a mobile device. http://www.monica-suma.com/
My client previously had installed the plug-in "WordPress Mobile Pack" and I've since deactivated it. Could that or something else be preventing the site from being responsive?
Thanks again for your help!
April 4, 2013 at 12:50 pm #33141Jesse PetersenMemberYou can't use those plugins and have any hope of the theme behaving on mobile devices - those things take over the theme. Disable all plugins having to do with mobile or responsiveness. You've got 153 lines of code in your site header - it's a hot mess.
But again... Blissful is not responsive - it has no responsive code - the stylesheet ends with Gravity Forms styles, not Responsive styles.

I did disable and deleted the mobile plug-in she had and after a day, the site is finally showing up on a mobile device as she would like. She actually wants the full site shown (it was just showing the top 5 posts), not how it would look like with a responsive theme, so thankfully this got worked out.
And after the redesign, the next thing I'm going to walk through with her is cleaning out her plugins!
Cheers,
