I´ve been following this site for a while, and it is gave me good basic knowledge on seo and perhaps even more on website content.

However when I run this tool http://www.feedthebot.com/tools/if-modified/

It says my site “does not have If modified since”

I thought its just me and run few other sites on the forum (For example Brad´s site) and it says “No” again.
I tried with StudioPress site and it has If Modified since.

So, is this something I have to set up? Anyone has any experience with this?

    Why do you need it?

Is it referring to the last modified date?

    Hi Brad,

Well I am not an expert, so I will quote

The If-Modified-Since HTTP header tells a search engine spider one of two things about a webpage…

This webpage has not changed, no need to download again.
This webpage has changed so download again because there is new information.

Any idea how to make this work on Genesis?
Do you think its relavant , according to the site it is.

You can add the modified date if you like.

Thanks Brad. I will certainly do it.
I saw most of the site does not have it ,but I guess its important for the SEO aspect.
I am unsure if modified date is the same as if modified since, but it certainly sounds like it is.
Let me give it a try ,and I will post the update here.

Update, this works like a charm. Just tested your page and that´s it.
It would be good to have it on each post, without short code.
You are genius Brad, thank so much!
