Hello. I’m developing a customized child theme, based on the Genesis Sample Theme (currently not yet public accessible).  The client would like a small area of the header graphic to point to her different social media sites. Specifically, there are little sprinkle bottles sitting on a shelf with “F, T, P, and I” labels on them (respectively – Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram). I need to image map these areas to point to the respective URLs, but I’m unsure how to get the image map code into the header. What code would I need to place into functions.php (other than the image map itself) to get this to function properly?

Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

Why not use the header right widget?

Thank you Brad. D’oh! Yes, that worked nicely. I did end up using the header right widget and with that method, I was able to give them a nice mouseover “jump” :)
