    I am not wanting to use the Simple Hooks plugin on a site because usually people think they can go in there and add stuff and it just ruins their site. What I am trying to do is add an image using this hook: genesis_before_sidebar_widget_area I am following this tutorial here in my functions.php file I have this but nothing is showing up.

    function genesis_do_logo() {
    add_action('genesis_before_sidebar_widget_area', 'genesis_do_logo');
    ?><p>This is an example function. Please replace this with your own custom function.</p>
    <?php }

    I can’t show you the site as I am building it on the localhost.

    Add your image url to this code and paste it in the end of your child themes functions.php file:

    Style using the class:

    .widget-logo {}

    You can also add a conditional tag to this code and display the logo based on the tag.
