I need to design a completely different look and layout for one landing page.
I need to use Gravity forms within the content area.
When I create a landing page template several elements from the original design are still visible.
I realize I could hide them with css but that doesn't help me create the code for the new layout and design.
What I want to do with a custom template is remove everything except the content.
insert page content
I have spent many hours reading all the custom loop tutorials but none explain how to simply insert the content from that page into a specific area on my custom template.
Note: using Genesis 1.8.2 and Prose theme.
I haven't used the Prose theme. Does it have a landing page option under Page Attributes > Template?
Yes, it does have a landing page but there are still elements from the original design that are visible so I can't use it.
As well, it doesn't give me the custom loop that I need to just show the page content within custom html.
Here is what the page looks like with the landing page http://www.westernhorsereview.com/magsubscriptions2/
Looks like http://www.westernhorsereview.com/magsubscriptions2/ is using a custom Subscriptions template, not Landing Page.
I just tested applying built-in Landing Page template to a Page in Prose 1.5.2 with Genesis 2.0.1 and it appears just like how you want - with no unwanted elements.
Thanks bandj and Sirdhar.
I did create a custom page from the landing page template.
Removing elements wasn't going to work for me because I needed a completely new design.
I knew it was something extremely simple but couldn't find the documentation anywhere.
Here is how I solved it.
<?php /* Template Name: Magazine Subscription */ //REMOVE POST TITLE remove_action('genesis_post_title', 'genesis_do_post_title'); ?> My custom header here <?php genesis_loop(); ?> My custom footer here
