After updating WP our starting page has had some errors.

On our main page in the center there is a banner saying,

    “Notice: genesis_home is deprecated since version 1.7.0! Use do_action( ‘genesis_home’ ) instead. in /home/content/u/r/b/urbangreentech/html/ugt/wp-includes/functions.php on line 2839″

but we do not know where to find “line 2839.”

Also one of our links shift up slightly and is now not inline with the other links.

    Our website is Urbangreentech.com.

    Regards,
    UGT

    I have the same issue…

    Notice: genesis_home is deprecated since version 1.7.0! Use do_action( ‘genesis_home’ ) instead.

    How do I fix this?

I’m using an old version of the Outreach theme.

There’s also a huge list of errors all stemming from wp-content/themes/genesis/lib/classes/sanitization.php on line 157 and line 159. I believe this might be the same issue.

Warning: Illegal string offset ‘append_description_home’ in /home/creative/public_html/mtsterling/wp-content/themes/genesis/lib/classes/sanitization.php on line 157

Warning: Illegal string offset ‘append_description_home’ in /home/creative/public_html/mtsterling/wp-content/themes/genesis/lib/classes/sanitization.php on line 159

    …and on and on

Thank you for looking into this!

Thanks for that link. I actually found that page earlier and it doesn’t seem to be the issue I’m dealing with. The particular line of code he is referring to (genesis/lib/classes/sanitization.php at line 69) has since been fixed in more recent Genesis updates.

The problem still persists. Any other ideas?

    What does line 69 say?
